How to Install & Set Up Smart STB on Smart TV

Smart STB turns your Smart TV, Android Box, or Apple device into a fully functioning MAG box. No extra hardware needed.

What You Need

  • A compatible device (Samsung/LG TV, Android device, or Apple TV)
  • The Virtual MAC address (begins with 00:1A:79) provided by Smart STB
  • Your Portal URL from your Smart OTT subscription

Setup on Samsung & LG Smart TVs

Go to your TV's App Store and search for Smart STB. Download and open the app. The app will display a 'Software MAC' and a 'Virtual MAC'. The Virtual MAC is what you will send to us to activate the portal.

Setup on Android (Firestick, Android Box)

Open the Google Play Store (or Downloader on Firestick) and install Smart STB. Once launched, navigate to Settings > Virtual MAC to find your 00:1A:79... address.

Setup on Apple TV & iOS

Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. Install Smart STB. You can find your Virtual MAC under the settings tab inside the application.

Configuring the Portal URL

Smart STB requires a Portal URL (not an M3U link).

1. Go to https://smart-stb.net/ on your phone or computer.
2. Log in and assign your Smart OTT Portal URL to your TV's Software MAC.
3. Alternatively, you can change the portal URL directly in the app's System Settings under Portal Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Smart STB offers a 7-day free trial. After that, you must purchase a license directly from their website (smart-stb.net) to continue using the application permanently, or pay a small monthly/yearly fee.

You must send us the Virtual MAC Address (starts with 00:1A:79). Do not send the Software MAC, as our system requires a standard MAG format MAC address.
