How to Install Smart IPTV on Samsung Tizen Smart TV

What You Need

  • Samsung Smart TV (2017 or newer, running Tizen OS)
  • The TV's MAC address (found in Settings → Network → Network Status)
  • An active Smart OTT subscription — view plans
  • Your M3U playlist URL

Installation Steps

Install Smart IPTV from the App Store

On your Samsung TV, open the Samsung App Store (or Smart Hub). Search for "Smart IPTV" or "SIPTV". Download and install the app.

Open the App and Note Your MAC Address

Launch Smart IPTV. The app will display your TV's MAC address on screen. Write this down — you'll need it to upload your playlist.

Upload Your Playlist

Visit siptv.app/mylist on your phone or computer. Enter your MAC address and paste your M3U URL (from your Smart OTT activation email). Click "Send".

Restart the App

Go back to your Samsung TV and close Smart IPTV completely. Reopen it — your channels should now load automatically.

Start Watching

Navigate channels using your Samsung remote. Channels are organized by category. Use the arrow keys to browse and the center button to select.

Frequently Asked Questions

Smart IPTV was removed from some regional app stores. You may need to sideload it or use alternatives like IBO Player or Net IPTV. Check our Duplex Play on Samsung TV guide for an alternative.

Smart IPTV only supports M3U playlists, not xTream API directly. If you only have xTream credentials, construct the M3U URL like this: http://server:port/get.php?username=USER&password=PASS&type=m3u_plus.

Yes. Smart IPTV costs a one-time activation fee (typically €5.49). Once activated, the app works indefinitely on that TV. The fee is for the app itself — your IPTV subscription from Smart OTT is separate.
