MAG IPTV Subscription — Native Portal Setup

MAG boxes (Infomir MAG-series — MAG 254, 322, 324, 420, 524, 540, etc.) are the original dedicated IPTV boxes. They run a custom Linux-based STB OS designed from the ground up for IPTV portal streaming. If you're a long-time IPTV user or have inherited a MAG box from a previous provider, SMART OTT delivers the cleanest possible experience on these devices via portal URL or M3U.

MAG boxes — the dedicated IPTV approach

MAG boxes don't run Android or Google services. They're purpose-built IPTV hardware: a remote, an HDMI output, a portal URL field, and that's it. The advantage: zero bloat, zero distractions, instant boot to live TV. The disadvantage: limited app ecosystem and slightly older UIs compared to Android boxes.

SMART OTT supports MAG boxes natively via portal URL. We provision a dedicated portal endpoint tied to your subscription, so setup is just "enter the URL, restart, watch."

Supported MAG models

• MAG 254 / 256 / 322 — older but still supported. SD/HD output. Aging — consider upgrading.
• MAG 324 / 420w — 4K HEVC support. Good for FHD streaming, marginal for 4K.
• MAG 524 / 524w3 — full 4K @ 60fps, HEVC + AV1. Current recommendation.
• MAG 540 / 540w3 — top of the line. 4K HEVC, Dolby Audio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth.

Setup on MAG box

1. From the MAG home screen, press the Setup button on the remote (or navigate to Settings).
2. Go to System Settings → Servers → Portals.
3. Set Portal 1 URL to: (your SMART OTT portal URL — provided in your activation email)
4. Save. Restart the MAG box (Settings → Restart or unplug/replug).
5. On reboot, your channel list loads automatically.
