How to Install Duplex Play IPTV on Samsung Smart TV

What You Need

  • Samsung Smart TV (2017 or newer, running Tizen OS)
  • Active internet connection
  • Smart OTT subscription — view plans
  • Your xTream API or M3U credentials
  • A device activation code (generated by Duplex Play)

Installation Steps

Open the Samsung App Store

Press Home on your Samsung remote. Navigate to Apps (Samsung App Store). Use the search function.

Search and Install Duplex Play

Type "Duplex Play" in the search bar. Select the app and tap Install. Unlike Smart IPTV, Duplex Play is widely available in all regional Samsung stores.

Launch and Get Your Device ID

Open Duplex Play. The app will display a unique Device ID and activation code. Note this down — you'll use it to link your playlist.

Activate via Web Portal

On your phone or computer, go to edit.duplex.iptv. Enter your Device ID. Add your playlist by entering your xTream API credentials (Server URL, Username, Password) or M3U URL.

Refresh and Watch

Go back to Duplex Play on your Samsung TV. The app will auto-detect your playlist. Your channels, movies, and series will load with full EPG support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Duplex Play offers a 7-day free trial. After that, it requires a one-time activation fee (typically €2-4). The fee is for the app — your Smart OTT subscription is separate.

Duplex Play has a more modern interface, supports xTream API directly (Smart IPTV only supports M3U), and is available in more Samsung app store regions. It also has better EPG integration. Smart IPTV is simpler but more limited.

Ensure your TV is running Tizen OS (2017+). Older Samsung TVs (pre-2017) use a different OS and may not support Duplex Play. Try updating your TV's firmware in Settings → Support → Software Update.
